The farms of these entrepreneurs are now doing pretty well in terms of their expansion and connections. They now produce 8 different varieties of hard and semi-hard cheese, including the Montasio and Himalayan Gouda.


They also make Indian variants of the very famous parmesan cheese, which are now slowly launching in the Indian market.


They also produce homemade organic ghee from high-altitude cow milk. The owner claimed that they don't use “anything beyond milk, salt and natural vegetarian culture—microbial rennet." So, if you are a fan of trying something exotic, this place should be on your bucket list.

BINSAR SANCTUARY


Binsar wildlife sanctuary is an Indian wildlife sanctuary, once the capital of the Chand kings, who ruled over Kumaon from the 11th to the 18th century AD. Established in 1988 for the conservation and protection of shrinking broad leaf oak now have around 200 bird species.


Binsar is located 30 km northeast of Almora in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The distance between Binsar and Mukteshwar by road is 83 km, and it's a 2.5 hrs. scenic ride.


It is said the legendary Saptrishis have meditated here, and the local deity, Dana Golu, has resided here as well. Dana Golu, or Golu devta, is personified as a white horseman who guides lost people.


Binsar has a wide variety of species residing in the wild — leopards, wild boars, mountain goats, hares, etc.

Along with its exotic wildlife, the Binsar forest is a beautiful place to feel closer to nature. The hills come to life every sunrise with the birds chirping, making it an experience worth getting.

The ashram of Neem Karoli Baba was established in the 1960s. He took samadhi here in the year 1973, and from then was considered the incarnation of Lord Hanuman.


The Kachi Dham is very famous because of personalities like Steve Jobs (ex-CEO of Apple), who visited the ashram on September 10, 1973. After suffering a crisis in his career, Jobs visited the ashram where he could connect with himself and find out about the ultimate truth of life.
